R+F

Filter Change Interval

Definition

The recommended service period after which a filter element should be replaced, driven primarily by differential pressure rather than time alone.

Rather than a fixed calendar schedule, the change-out point is best defined by ΔP: replace the element when it reaches the recommended terminal pressure (typically 1.5–2.5 bar) to protect the system and avoid media rupture.

Choosing higher-capacity media and adequate filter area lengthens the interval, cutting labor and downtime.

Relevance for high-flow filtration

R+F helps specify the media grade and element length that deliver the target change interval for each duty.
