6-Inch Filter Housing
Definition
The predominant high-flow housing standard, accepting elements of roughly 6.0" (152 mm) outer diameter across most major OEM platforms.
The 6.0" OD standard is shared by Pall Ultipleat/Marksman, Parker MegaFlow/ParMax, 3M High Flow (HF series), Eaton LOFPLEAT and others, allowing verified-fit replacement elements to drop directly into the existing housing.
Care is required with variants: the 3M 740B/K series uses a 6.5" (165 mm) OD and is NOT interchangeable with 6.0" elements, and 3M 720 uses 7.0" OD. Always confirm the housing dimension before cross-referencing.
Relevance for high-flow filtration
R+F offers verified 6.0" elements for all standard platforms and confirms 6.5" housing compatibility case-by-case.
