R+F

High-Flow Filter

Definition

A large-format filter element designed to process very high liquid flow rates through a single cartridge, reducing the number of elements, housing size, and change-out labor compared with standard cartridges.

High-flow filter elements typically have an outer diameter of around 6 inches (152 mm) and are available in lengths of 20", 40", 60" and 80". A single 60" element can process up to roughly 113 m³/h of liquid, dramatically reducing the element count versus 2.5" standard cartridges.

The pleated, outside-to-inside flow design maximizes filtration surface area and dirt-holding capacity while keeping the clean differential pressure low. This makes high-flow elements the standard choice for municipal water, oil & gas, chemical processing, and other high-throughput applications.

Relevance for high-flow filtration

R+F manufactures verified-fit replacement elements for all major high-flow housing platforms (Pall, Parker, 3M, Pentair, Eaton and others), matching OEM dimensions, media and end-cap geometry.
