Flow Rate
Definition
The volume of liquid passing through a filter per unit time, usually expressed in m³/h or gpm, and a primary driver of element sizing.
High-flow elements are selected so the system flow rate stays within the element’s rated capacity at an acceptable ΔP. A single 60" high-flow element can handle up to roughly 113 m³/h depending on media and viscosity.
Running below the maximum rated flow extends service life and lowers energy use; exceeding it raises ΔP sharply and shortens element life.
