Housing Configurator

Describe your application step by step — flow rate, filtration grade and operating conditions. We size the right housing for you. At the end we carry your details straight into the inquiry.

Step 1 of 7

Application / Medium

Which medium are you filtering?

Your application

  • Application / Medium
  • Flow rate
  • Filtration grade
  • Operating pressure
  • Operating temperature
  • Connection size
  • Material requirement

Review your entries. "Send inquiry" carries your application data straight into the inquiry form.

Inquire with these details

Non-binding requirement description. We determine the right housing size and final design (materials, pressure rating, certificates) for you after technical review.

How you get to the right housing

The configurator turns your application data into a solid housing recommendation — in three steps, without any engineering knowledge on your side.

1. Describe your application

Pick medium, flow rate, target rating, pressure and temperature. You think in terms of your process — we handle the sizing.

2. Send the inquiry

Your answers are carried into the inquiry as a structured specification. One point of contact reviews footprint, material and element configuration.

3. Receive a recommendation

You get a concrete recommendation for the housing and the matching high-flow elements — as a standard solution or a custom build.

Selection guide: what your answers determine

Every answer in the configurator drives a concrete construction decision. Here is how your application data and the housing are connected.

Medium & rating → material & element type

The medium (water, process liquid, chemical) and the target rating determine material and element build. High-flow filtration reliably removes particles and suspended solids — dissolved substances are the job of downstream processes such as reverse osmosis.

Flow rate → housing size & element count

The flow rate determines how many and how long the elements the housing must hold are. More throughput means more filter area — sized correctly, differential pressure stays low and service life stays high.

Material → corrosion & hygiene

Painted carbon steel for neutral media, 304 / 304L for general service, 316 / 316L for chlorides, aggressive media or hygienic requirements. Duplex and special alloys on request.

Connection → tie-in to your piping

Flanged connections (DIN / ANSI) for high throughput and fixed piping, threaded (NPT / BSP) for smaller sizes. Connection layout to match your existing footprint.

Pressure & temperature → code & wall thickness

Operating pressure and temperature determine wall thickness and code. We supply pressure vessels to PED 2014/68/EU (CE), and to ASME VIII on request.

Result → housing + elements from one source

From your answers we derive the housing and the matching elements together — one supplier, one point of contact, delivered worldwide.

Standard or custom build?

Standard housing

  • Flow rate and connections match a series size
  • Neutral to moderate media
  • Short lead time preferred

Custom build

  • Footprint, connection layout or throughput fits no series vessel
  • Special material, high pressure/temperature or hygienic design
  • Replacement for a discontinued OEM housing

Configurator FAQ

Do I need to know the housing size in advance?

No. You only describe your application — flow rate, medium, target rating, pressure and temperature. We derive the housing size, the number of elements and the element length for you.

What does the configurator actually produce?

It compiles your answers into a structured specification and carries it straight into the inquiry. You do not receive an automated price — a specialist reviews it and comes back with a concrete housing and element recommendation.

Which materials can I choose from?

Painted carbon steel, 304 / 304L and 316 / 316L cover most applications. Duplex and special alloys are available on request for aggressive media or high-temperature service.

Does high-flow filtration remove dissolved substances?

No. High-flow elements target particles and suspended solids and protect downstream equipment such as membranes, pumps and nozzles. Removing dissolved substances is the job of processes such as reverse osmosis or ion exchange.

Can I get the housing and the matching elements together?

Yes — that is the point. R+F supplies the housing and the matching high-flow elements from a single source, with one point of contact, and delivers worldwide.

Prefer to describe it in your own words?

Skip the steps and send us your duty data directly — flow rate, medium, target rating, connections. We will do the sizing and quote housing plus elements together.
